The file stays with you

When a server is needed
Video, PDF and heavy compression are beyond the browser — our server does those. The upload and the result are deleted after 2 h, or after 24 h if you are signed in.

From your own code
The same tools are available over an HTTP API with a key and over MCP: one command connects them to Claude, Cursor and other clients.
Common questions
- Do files really never leave my device?
- For tools marked «in browser», yes: the work happens on your computer and nothing is sent anywhere. The rest run on the server, and the card says so upfront — before you upload anything.
- How long are files kept on the server?
- 2 hours without an account, 24 hours if you are signed in. After that the source and the result are deleted together and the download link stops working.
- Do I need an account?
- No. Without one you get 10 jobs a day; with one, 50 and a job history. That is all an account changes.
- Are there watermarks or quality limits?
- Neither. Free output is identical to paid output: you pay for volume, large files and API calls, never for quality.
- Can I call this from my own program?
- Yes. There is an HTTP API with a key and the @formatika/mcp server — the same set of tools inside Claude, Cursor and any other MCP-aware client.
